Founder and Director, Editor
Doug Cress brings his strong understanding of media, technology, and addiction psychology to Weedless.org. Previously, Mr. Cress was a principal at Diversified Worldwide Holdings (“DWH”), the corporate venturing arm of Global Advertising Strategies (“Global”). At DWH, Mr. Cress sourced, structured, and managed Global’s strategic investments. Mr. Cress also led Global’s client facing Interactive Services Division where he worked with Fortune 500 companies across a variety of verticals, with an emphasis on healthcare and the life sciences.
Mr. Cress came to DWH from OneMedPlace, a research firm offering intelligence to investors in the medical device and biotechnology industry. He played a variety of roles at the start-up, from managing editorial production to sourcing new business opportunities and growth venues. In 2011, Mr. Cress founded Cress & Company, a marketing and communications consultancy. Mr. Cress received a B.A. in Psychology from Tufts University and graduated with highest honors.
